I created A Dame’s life to share my random thoughts, recipes, kitchen experiments, and easy cookie dough recipes to help you understand you can splurge and still be healthy and fit! While you are reading my random thoughts etc, I will also share with you the benefits of running and other workout plans. Everyone’s lifestyle is personal and while I know that running and a plant based lifestyle is not for everyone, I hope you will find something that will work for YOU. Welcome! I am so excited that you’ve found A Dame’s Life! My name is Ivy Karlinsky and I am a fitness, health, and running junkie, full time nutrition and exercise student and personal trainer but I also eat cookie dough on occasion and have popcorn with butter and salt when I watch Scandal! Life is all about balance my friends – yes you can do it all!
I love food and spend a good amount of my time thinking about cooking and what I’ll be eating next. My personal passion is running, and have run 5 marathons, 5 half marathons, a 50K, a couple Ragnars and a smattering of other races and am still going. I look for new challenges everyday and incorporate lots of other body movement methods into my running routines, balance is key.
When I’m not cooking, eating or exercising, I like to spend time with my lovely husband, incredible lady friends and my best four legged buddy. I spend as much time as possible reading, hiking, exploring the great pacific northwest. I try not to take myself too seriously and hope that you’ll find something here that resonates with you whether its a recipe, a story or a motivating workout challenge.
